- I decided I should write something since Ive been not-in-contact with
many people for a too long period of time. Its kinda boring to write
a long story of my times away from florida, so I will bullet the
highlights.
Carrboro/Chapel Hill NC
-goat farm! a bazillion baby goats the size of large cats suckling my
fingers and bouncing around like they just got bitten on the butt in
rural NC, 50 human kids chasing chickens in every direction.
-ice! slipping and almost falling way to often and loosing more and
more faith in my otherwise solid grip on the earth. the weather is a
spectacular 30ish degrees daily, and ive learned quickly about
"bundling up."
-comix! inspired by avril, a floridapal, ive begun a task of making
comix about my life to express stuff that wont really come out
otherwise. when you see me you could ask me and ill show you, but
beware almost all of the pictures are of me which could get to be
preeettty boring.
-friends! melissa whos studies urban planning and who might save your
town someday, who is also an undercover superhuman air hockey player,
nick who although is in high demand as a buddy, came through for a few
solid food eating and chatting sessions, jes who is my new favorite
person ever that lives in a yome which is a canvas and wood structure
resembling a yert/geometrical dome. hense, yome. she loves things a
lot like animals and people and chops wood to feed a stove that keeps
us warm through the night.
-hitch to greensboro-
-GiGi! one of the most likable people ive ever met, playes in cakalack
thunder, a drum core that performs at rallys and protests.
-Prank wars! all Im saying is, shaving cream, vendettas and toliet paper.
-contra dance! 40 people laughing and twirling and the skirts make
circles as they slide and stomp and i didnt dance but i got all
excited for my traveling pal daniel as he got asked every single dance
and was too nice to say no.
-Amazing collective house! all ladies! tons of chocolate and free
food! smiles and movies and games and dogs and feeling welcomed!
hooray.
tomorrow i gotta do some stuff then the next day im going to ashville
to see snow, mainly.
cause i heard that its happening and i wanna be there.
then this is how my schedule looks so you can hollar at me if you wanna ..
feb26-27 back in carrboro
27-mar2 find ride to washington DC to hang with nick, see if i like
that town enough to live there
mar3-15 philly and NYC
mar16ish-apr16ish organizing building puppets and stilts and floats
etc for coalition of immokolee workers circus themed protest agianst
mcdonalds. come!
then i think mayday in minniapolis if i figure out if i know someone there.
then i dunno, maybe west coast but probably back to good ol florida to
make some money and help out my mom and hang with a new baby and
support a friend.
