Katie came up thursday night so she could be there friday morning when I came back from work. Then her mom and step-dad came up on Saturday to give us the bed frame and the dresser. I really, really appreciated the new furniture but I wanted to kill them both the whole time. You know how when you and your signifigant other are around family members, you try and behave because it's a little embarassing to make out in front of them, or a little rude, or just not in good taste? Well, her parents have no goddamn self control and becuase of that I ended up struggling to keep my lunch down while they told up about her Mom's new panties that she suprised her husband with, followed by lots of overly public displays of affection. Ugh.
The whole time we were moving in the furniture, Ed (the step-dad) kept babbling about parties, and how we should take a nap later on so we can party tonight, and how Katie needs to learn to drink because of all the partying she'll be enduring, etc. etc. Finally me and Katie just lost our patience and asked him what the hell he kept bringing it up for and he said since he used to be "in the service" he knows what military life is like. ED: YOU WERE IN THE FUCKING NATIONAL GUARD. PISS OFF. Instead of saying that, I reminded myself that he was giving us free shit so I just kept it to myself.
In any case, the new bed is very nice. So nice in fact that I apparently kicked Katie out of it while I was sleeping, most likely in a dream about having that huge comfortable bed all to myself. I'd have to honestly say that micro-suede is really cool and I refuse to share it with anyone. Mine. The dresser is really cool too, but it has this huge mirror on it which Katie strategically positioned so it faces towards the bed so she "can see what's going on." I don't handle this kind of pressure well.
