Rehab Fantasy
I was wandering back from a lovely tea with communique when I stumbled upon an open house. It is a one bedroom one and a half story house that has been rehabbed. It has very cool mosaic work in both the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom. But the truly amazing part is the 2 other houses on the same property that can either be attached to the current house, or rehabbed separately as detached apartments. I suppose you could also tear one of them down. All of the properties are in a lovely bricked in courtyard. There is also a two car garage for off-street parking. The asking price is really cheap. It would be the perfect spot to start a mini artist colony. I wish my daydreams matched my wallet.
I thought of nastyboots , as the realtor reccommended the type of loan she has for rehabbing the other two properties. Fingers crossed that I win the lottery soon.
Back in reality, tea at The Map Room was excellent. I highly suggest you check it out. They were able to serve it today on the garden patio because the weather was just perfect. I'm enjoying my lazy Sunday. Tonight there will be late night DVR and drinks with the boy.
ETA: Oh, and the property is only .2 miles from Venice Cafe. That's almost crawling distance. ;)
