At the fanciful land of Borders, we now close at 12am on weekends, which means that I don't get to leave until 1am, which is ok bordering on lame. But, what pushes it full on into lame country is that I have to be back at work at 9am AND I don't get to leave until 7pm. That's a 10hour shift, just 8 hours after I get off work. Lame lame lame

I agree that the stupid people come out during the holidays. At least you work somewhere where the majority of your customers are supposedly literate. Try working at Target for a few days. The other day I had some woman trying to argue with me over what 3 things costing 3 dollars each would add up to. I brought out a fucking calculator, so she might believe me, but she just kept repeating the phrase "that doesn't seem right". She left very angry, and I laughed derisively at her for the rest of the day.
