Joelle & Johnny: the meet-cute
Joelle was just a bit overwhelmed. Between having her house blown up, learning yet another sibling was showing mutant powers, and being shot- well, it'd been a rough couple of days. She needed some quiet time to collect her thoughts, and most parts of the school were anything but quiet. That's why she was knocking on Jay's door, hoping he'd let her hide out in his room for a bit.
"Jay?" she called, trying the knob, "you in there?" The door was unlocked, and she poked her head in. No one was visible, but she heard water running in the bathroom. Must be in the shower, she figured. I'll just wait for him.
She sat down on one of the beds, idly flipping through a stack of CDs left by the bedside.
