Note: This is not a formal session where we could just say anything formal. This was just a way to overcome boredom. We were doing nothin' during our conversation in YM, so for us to become productive during that time, we decided instead to boil up our creative juices inside our brain, and eventually we have come up with this, which by the way explains to you anything about fashion. So here, try to read the whole conversation and try to be free to judge the whole thing.
sowfiah13: Do you want to be enganged in fashion?
hatesbee: Totally. I have started to grow this strong passion and interest for it.
sowfiah13: Who hooked you to be engaged in fashion?
hatesbee: No one... I was just amazed on the art and the work they put on every piece of clothing they make.
sowfiah13: So does it mean that you get inspired with the outlook and how a material is made?
hatesbee: Yes.
sowfiah13: Sounds terrific, if you ask me.
hatesbee: I also get inspired with the strong point of view on a collection and how designers enable people who wear their clothes, which feel like they are in another dimension or world.
sowfiah13: Say, for instance, you see an ugly material? What can you do to make it attractive?
hatesbee: I believe that the only thing certain is changes, and ugliness is one of them. Every duck can be a swan, so why can't an ugly fabric be like a silk?
sowfiah13: Today we are experiencing a terrible situation where in people even those scientists would find ways to overcome it, andwe all know that this is the global warming. Well, to save our Mother Earth, what kind of material can you do or can you contribute in a fashionable way?
hatesbee: From the moment I saw your question, I already thought of PLASTICS. Some designers use plastics, and they as we all know are not good for our home - Earth. But using plastics to create bags, coats, and umbrellas are just unacceptable. Anyway, we can make a statement of a modern look not just by using plastics.
sowfiah13: So, what material can you suggest as a source of all fashion material?
hatesbee: Anything that is natural.
sowfiah13: To be specific, what?
hatesbee: Almost all fabrics are from nature, so no problem. Cottons are comfortable. Silks are glamorous.
sowfiah13: Does fashion contradict to our high-tech technologies like computers? I mean, are they productive when both, in a fashionable way, mix up together?
hatesbee: Computers and fashion don't really go together, but some designers use technology to show versatility, point of view, and imagination on a look. Just like dresses that glow in the dark (featured in TIME magazine).
sowfiah13: Yep, I even notice a number of designers use computers to design accurately a material.
sowfiah13: What can you say about people, not to include their tastes, religion and other aspects in life, who have no interest in fashion?
hatesbee: I think everyone wants to look good, but it's in the way their life goes. If you're a busy person but doesn't work for a boutique, a fashion house or a magazine, then they won't get something to put on some CHLOE boots. They get stuck on covering themselves. They don't get updated in fashion though some fashion designers have already approached their situation. They have tried to design clothes for them to wear ( still being fashionable ).
sowfiah13: What if people would destroy fashion? Would that be a problem of the world?
hatesbee: It's their problem.
sowfiah13: But what about in the shoes of fashion? Would fashion be destroyed... forever? And would it never eventually rise again?
hatesbee: Fashion can never be destroyed. Fashion updates but can also bring things back. It's a cycle; it's either it's in or not. It only repeats though it also updates.
sowfiah13: Kids, particularly the girls, are in their development stage in their life. What can possibly be done to aspiring fashion designers? But during their stage in life, it seems impossible to aim for something -- like to be a fashion designer someday. Like for instance, they lack an ounce of cash. Can fashion be bought?
hatesbee: I don't know. If you have the passion, if you have the knowledge, if you have the skill, maybe it's about finding your own style and your statement.
sowfiah13: How does fashion help the world to solve its problems? Problems in money, crimes, and in something?
hatesbee: Designed clothes are expensive nowadays, but most designers now can make cheaper ones for fashion craving people who have no money. For problems, there can be statement shirts. For crimes and other situations, a point of view in a collection or a theme on a fashion editorial may be used.
sowfiah13: What's your conclusion? Summarize your thoughts about fashion
hatesbee: Fashion is art, fashion is not worthless, fashion can be ours, fashion is in you.
