Friday:
For the first time I made my way to California gym in Bugis. Skeet got me guest pass for a month. I was impressed. Very impressed. It was so clean and there were so many workout stations and quite spacious. Hmm now I’m tempted to switch from medium sized gyms to these giant meat markets where the counter people look at you like vultures! Oh and now my complain: I really cannot understand why there was no hook in the shower cubicle. Where do I put my towel? On the floor? The idiot who designed the shower area must have wanted patrons to walk around naked! Tsk tsk!
Went out for dinner with f16skyhawk, Juzzywuzzy, gator_, lyph, ced_ric, bimbajim and someone else whose name I cannot remember, though I’ve met her many many times before and who’d probably have an LJ account since everyone (mostly) I know has an LJ account or has been told to get one. Dinner was at Anjappar restaurant in Little India. I think I was the only one who finished off desert.
Saturday:
Dinner at Chad Masala. V nice. But this time I have to quote my German friend when I brought him to eat Indian food when we were in Melaka way back. “Mmmm chili, very nice. Only hurts twice”. Must be the mushrooms! But it was worth it!
After dinner off we went to buirpindog’s humble abode to chillout and have his fantastic hummingbird cake (
http://www.livejournal.com/users/fonsus/87263.html) and homemade mango sorbet. Oh dear sweet stuff…. my mouth is watering already!!
Burpindog….gawd I hate using nicks…. can I just call him Suen….. mentioned that Kate Bush’s latest album was good. I said not really cos it sounded a bit dated. I have the album in my HD and had heard it, without paying much attention, only once.
Sunday:
Listened to Kate Bush. It was good. In fact very good. Suen I take back my words. U were right! Can’t say the same about Enya though. Her latest offering Amarantine sounds like a summary/consolidation of all her previous albums. Boring!
Today I learnt that…
…I should not mention to my cousin and his mom that I went for a haircut for $23. I’m trying to erase the image of horror on their face from my mind. I do have hair you know. Just that no ones seen my long flowing tresses before. Sheesh!
…Long runs done in desperate attempts to shed fat fast can give you painful nipple abrasion. *ouch X 2*
…John Berendt’s got a new novel out called The City of Falling Angels. MUST BUY! I loved Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil!
