Can you say yummy? Mmmm, Chinese food is soo good! I love fried rice and pot stickers and chicken with pea pods and...I'm making myself hungry, lol. I love, love, love, Chinese food!
So, it's already been an exciting day here. A HUGE thunderstorm started at about 2 in the morning today and kept going until about 11 in the morning. It was insane! Huge lightening strikes, thunder so loud it shook the house and actually woke me up. Man, it was awesome, but a pain in the butt to drive in this morning when I went to my eye doctor appointment. It's stopped for now, but it looks like it's going to start up again at any moment. I was just glad that it stopped when I went to work.
Not that the horses made it easy for me, lol. They were all the way in the back, back field and I had to walk all the way down there and drive them up. So much mud, so much water! I was coated in the stuff. And then I helped Jodi as we tried to sump-pump the water out of the barn and one of the areans. It was really funny because the sump-pump had a float on it and it would only work if the float was floating. There wasn't enough water in these puddles to float the thing so Jodi and I jury rigged it with a brick, lol. It over heated, lol. So know we know why it has a float on it, lol. I had the most fun when I was standing in an inch of water holding on to plug for sump-pump and the extension cord were connected, keeping them out of the water. I was just asking to be electrocuted, lol. Oh man, what fun.
I started the sequel to The Bet and The Ante, The Proposal. This one's about the rocky road to the altar for Elliot and Olivia. Yes, I'm writing SVU again, lol. No, I'm not abandoning CI, I just had a flash of inspiration the other day and heck, I've been missing Fin and Munch, lol. I'm not sure how people will respond to it because it's not going to be like The Bet and The Ante, it's more case file-y and will have a lot more of my Law & Order Original Character, Detective Andrea Viviano. I like Andy, but she didn't get that warm of a reception. I'm hoping that won't turn people off of the story. I also don't know if I'll write a companion story for it like I did with The Bet. We'll see, I guess, lol.
