I Has a Blizzard
Man, when they said blizzard they meant blizzard. If you've seen the news then you know Chicago was hit hard with a blizzard last night. That includes the intrepid Moose. Our power went out around 2 in the morning, but it's back now and before we had to worry about how we were going to stay warm for the duration. It's been exciting.
And now, some pictures!
This is the start of the blizzard. Before too long the visibility dropped to only a few feet. I couldn't take pictures of it but it basically went like that all night.

The next day and I ducked down so you can see the height of this snowbank better. This thing would've easily reached my knees or higher. They're everywhere in our yard.

Here's my car, which lives outside. It's a trooper. It's not buried. Actually it's got a pretty clear little zone around it, but beyond that zone are big drifts and it's stuck. I won't be going anywhere for awhile.

And here I go walking to my car. I couldn't tell I was walking into a drift but that's my knee and the snow easily reaches it. Yeah, awkward angle but it's the best I could do.

My dad waving to me from the front step. We spent the morning without heat and camped out together in the living room, reading books. We even busted out Trivial Pursuit for if we got really bored. Our Trivial Pursuit is way, way out of date by the way. In the cards it's still the U.S.S.R.
