I'm on a boat! In the ocean! With intarweb! Cool!
When I get home, I will transcribe my logbook and add pictures and maps where appropriate, but for now, I will say that we're currently anchored outside of Port Townsend, WA, it is fairly chilly outside, and I can hear a blues band playing in a restaurant somewhere in downtown. Sweet.
Our original plan for today was to sail to Victoria, B.C., but thanks to a massive oil leak, that didn't happen. The engine is all better now, and all the oil has been soaked up out of the bilge, so that's good, but now we're not exactly sure when we're leaving and where we'll be going.
I have hit up two different yarn stores since arriving, and now have three hanks of hand-dyed, hand-spun merino wool, two balls of sock yarn for Mama, three hanks of Cascade Piztazzo (or something like that, it's put up now and I don't remember the name), and a book with 220 Aran stitches and patterns. Whee! Pretty Irish knitting!
