This definition of Maieutics:
Maieutics is a method of teaching introduced by Socrates. It is one of the four parts of socratic method. It is based on the idea that the truth is latent in the mind [
"tacit knowledge"?] of every human being due to his innate reason but has to be "given birth" by questions asked by the teacher and answers given by the student.
The word is derived from the Greek "maieutikos", pertaining to midwifery.
This reminds me of
"logical omniscience".
It's kinda like saying that my toilet knows what I ate yesterday (
