Someone broke into my truck last night. OK, so all they had to do was pull on the back window hard enough to break the tape holding it shut, but still...
They took my cheap stereo and left a bottle of water...or maybe someone else thought it would be funny to throw it in through the open window later.
There's something so...insulting about theft. It's like a slap in the face from the whole community. You start looking at all your neighbors and wondering "was it that guy?" or "maybe the old lady in the walker that lives across the street needed her heroin fix?"
How much heroin could you buy in the first place with a stolen stereo that was hardly worth $60 when it was new in the box?
