All that stuff re: adoration and stuff applies here too, as well as the fact he really helps her not be that sad about her bffs not being around. She, admittedly, still sees George in him but it's a lot less so that having FEELINGS for him is less weird. So Conrad making the comparison himself was pretty hilarious to her. but yeah, she doesn't mind him yelling or his general crankiness or saying fuck a lot as bad since she's somewhat used to it, and... she finds the cursing thing to be pretty funny. He's not the same kind of fun that someone like Hanna is, but she really enjoys spending time with him. She likes teasing him and being weird around him because his reactions are great. He laughs at her terrible jokes and goes along with her terrible ideas and she's like KYAAAA CONNIE because she knows that he would not do that if it was someone else. She is fully aware that she is being spoiled and she is 0k with that. Also she really appreciates how supportive he was during the whole invisible thing! Her options of who she could talk to were pretty limited, so him being around meant a lot. And she also thought it was super sweet how much he wanted to help.
Seriously though, like I have explained in that essay I did about her bad dating choices, CONRAD IS. Not her usual type. And honestly, she did not think of him that way until he confessed to her. And her mind immediately jumped to OH HE LIKES ME MAYBE THINGS CAN HAPPEN which... goes back to the codependency thing that I talked about in my reply to Hanna sob. Canonly, the main reason that she ends up falling for Mitchell is because someone plants the idea in her head that they would be a cute couple. So she went from OH HE'S MY BEST FRIEND to MAYBE WE REALLY WOULD MAKE A CUTE COUPLE to KYAAAA LOVE just from that. Which is... basically what happened with Conrad, with everyone else supporting the idea of them having a relationship and yes. Annnd like I said, she throws herself 110% into relationships, so she will. Probably very quickly jump to using the L word and stuff because that's just how she rolls. She does genuinely like him romantically but just-- there were a lot of giant leaps involved and her thing with love is weird.
And kinda like with Hanna, she feels shitty about over-complicating simple things, but she doesn't feel as guilty over it with Conrad as she does with Hanna. On that note, she was super distressed throughout the entire vampire episode. She knew that Conrad was already super uncomfortable with the whole idea of it all, so being so hungry that he attacked people was. Really bad! And she really wished that she could have helped more other than occasionally visiting him and. If she had blood to offer, she... probably would have offered him some of hers. So the fact that she couldn't do that made her go noooo. And now she is determined to make December the best month in the entire world. She is going to plan things for him, and come up with AWESOME Christmas gifts and it will be perfect. She will put extra thought into it because he already hasn't liked a lot of her AWESOME ideas, and she doesn't want another repeat of scrabble or something.
