Utterly disappointed

Shame on you Domino's...shame. In lazy, hungry desperation, I order pizza tonight for dinner, part of a weeklong trend of me spending more money on food than bothering to make it myself. Timing was okay, within the 30 minutes or...what do they say now? 20% your next order? The product itself? Craptastic, that's what it was.

Crusty (the bad kind), Burnt, Unappetizing.

The picture speaks for itself. There really isn't much else I need to say. Except that the pizza was annoyingly thin. I like my crust thick and substantial, just short of deep dish. I think I may have ordered a NY style pizza, though, which would explain it. Thin and difficult to deal with...

In other news, here's this little friend I met today at lunch.

I spotted it across this grassy patch, and I was sending all these friendly mental signals, such as I had food I would give in exchange for some pictures. It stood on its hind legs for a few minutes, thinking about something in that slow way that humans no longer have the patience for. Then the squirrel came over to me, and, as I mentally promised, I gave it some food. Walnuts, no less, of which I had very few left, because I'm generous :)

Ah, but it was such a nice and sunny and peaceful today, a welcomed change from eating in front of my computer in the office. Since yesterday, I promised myself to eat my lunch outside and enjoy the sun, ('cause I'm all pasty-like from winter). And I was until this gaggle of middle school kids from who-knows-where-since-I-work-at-a-UNIVERSITY swarmed noisilyy around us and crashed down upon my quiet eating place. The girls saw the squirrel and screamed in terror (ON NOES TEH RABBID SKWERL!), the boys were like, "You're afraid of a squirrel?" Yeah, seriously! Anyway, the munchkins scared us both away, and I went back to my office. The end.
