Nia Cosplay Wig Suggestions~

Okay, so I thought I had everything down in terms of my Nia cosplay, but I've run into a few problems with the wig. 
Since I've heard that the Nia wig they sell on Ebay is low quality, and doesn't really have any body to it, I've decided to take on the task of styling my own Nia wig.

So how did you guys go about styling your Nia cosplay wigs? 

1. Did you dye a light blonde with with blue/turquoise-ish tones?
2. Buy a white wig, and dye parts of it blonde and parts of it blue? 
3. Did you dye a straight wig, and then curl it yourself after the dye job, or did you buy a curly wig and then dye as is?

I'm not sure which is the the best route to take ^^;
