My name's Joe and I've just joined this community. I've wanted to be part of an on-line community where one can discuss aspects of Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, but my attempts to do so via a couple of anime-related message boards proved futile: there was too much of an adversarial attitude, something I'm hoping is absent here.
I've two questions I'm hoping you can answer. Is there an English-language script of the series available on the Web? Also, is there an anime site or wiki which has a well-done page regarding Yoko Ritona? The references to Yoko I've been able to find on the Web are quite brief in comparison to less-interesting characters; and they evince a dismissive attitude toward her -- which, having viewed the series, I find puzzling. (I'm a journalist by trade, so I've a nose for bias.)
Having served in the military in a combat zone, I admire Yoko's superior soldiering and tactical knowledge. If she'd have existed in real life, I'd have transferred her to my outfit in a minute and put her in a command position.
