News dump
So the last two Parallel Works videos were shown yesterday at an event in Japan. News from those who attended on 2ch:
-Nia resembles Lord Genome in his youth.
-Yoshinari's video is going to be used in the movie. I guess this probably explains what Lord Genome's seiyuu said in an interview on the movie website about Lord Genome having a new episode and Anti-Spiral appearing in the movie...
-Hiroyuki Imaishi and Sushio also did work on Yoshinari's video. Oh my god this is going to be amazing.
-They're thinking of making more if the DVD sells.
Oh yeah and I haven't posted this here yet, but other news about the movie from the "Eve of the Movie" event two weeks ago:
-Nakashima said that the last 23 minutes of the movie will be completely new.
-They were shown four clips of the new animation from the movie (without voices), with scenes such as Daiganzan VS Daigankai and Adiane VS Yoko. [An article in a recent issue of Newtype also talked about Yoko getting some badass fight scenes, so HURRAH!]
-Nia won't be getting a haircut in the movie
And unrelated to the movie, but...
Alao at the August 10 event, Kazuki Nakashima revealed his newly written short story, "Viral's Sweet Dream." It was presented in manga format shown on slides, and the members of the cast who were there dubbed it over. Yoko's seiyuu did the voice of Tsuuma (Viral's wife) and Boota's seiyuu did the voice of Memusu (his daughter).
Most of the story is gag-based and involves Viral in several alternate universes.
-Student!Viral runs into student!Tsuuma with bread in his mouth and becomes shy towards her
-Viral tries to put the moves on Tsuuma who is a pianist at a bar (adult!Simon also appears as a bartender)
-Viral is a doting father to his daugher Memusu
and etc.
