Some of you have already read this on facebook, but for those who haven't...
Yesterday I got a phonecall from my classmates (I didn't go to school) and they told me I've won a photo contest we all entered weeks ago! :D
I was super socked and thought it was all some kind of surreal joke till I went today to school and everyone congratulated me XD I keep thinking my pic wasn't the best one, but I suppose they went for something simple and clear... "Fire Prevention" was the topic, so I constructed the emergency exit sign using matches, and lit matches to simulate fire. I took it at like 2am in the morning in my kitchen, with the cam on a tripod hoping it wouldn't fall and crash, holding those lit matches with my hand trying not to get burnt. Then it smelled of bday cake everywhere XD.
But it was worth it for a 900€ prize! :P I won't get it in cash though, but as a gift card to spend at this big store. I gotta go tell them tomorrow what I want: a netbook (finally!) and Canon EF 135mm f/2 USM lens 'cause I'm madly in love with it. Hope I can get both @_@
So yeah, I'm happy. It's the 2nd photo contest I win this course, and both have been quite important~ :D
