The Desert Trip
Well it was in a word........ awesome! I had a blast out there and my truck did so well, i was proud. So friday night we didn't end up leaving until almost 9, but we finally all got our stuff together and headed out. Well we weren't the only ones to get a late start because there was traffic getting out. But i think alot of that had to do with the border patrol checkpoint on the way out there. I dunno what was up with that. But then we got out there and it took a little while to find Ash's dad's camp. Then we unloaded stuff and then went out and found Damon's campsite. That was even harder to find because it was dark. Then we all decided to load up and cruise out to devil's slide. Nick made fun of me because i didn't want to go up it in the truck.After that we went up to blosands. There was like no one there, it was also like 2am, but still.We hung out there for awhile and then went back to camp. Then Ash and i left and made up our bed inside the back of my truck, which was actually very warm and comfortable. Then we got up around 8 or 9 the next morning and made breakfast. Then we all got dressed and went out on the trails. And i actually got up enough courage to go up devil's slide, but i didn't make it the first time because i didn't have it in 4x4. But then i made it up the second time!! It was a blast! Then Ash and i went on a search to find Clinton and John's camp, it took awhile because they were all the way out at the end. But then we found them and hung out for a while and went out on some more trails and then to devil's playground. There were alot of people out there, and i saw a golf cart going up and down the mountain. The dirtbikers were doing all kinds of crazy jumps and tricks, it was really cool to watch. Then we headed back to our camp and ate lunch. We played some cards, played the sex and the city triva game, and then watched a movie. Camping is great huh? Then Ashley took a nap so i went over to Damon's camp and hung out with them. It was funny to watch the guys riding the 50s and stuff. Then Derrick Deese showed up and it turns out that he works with Ashley's dad. So me, him, and tyler drove over to our camp to pick up Ash. We stayed for a little bit and talked with her dad, and then the four of us crammed into Derrick's truck and headed back over to the other camp. Ash and i stayed there for awhile, then we cruised over to John's camp, where his little sister Molly proceeded to get us trashed. She was hilarious, and she kept making us do shots. We all made a fire and sat around for a while. Then John's older sister Maggie's boyfriend took us all out in the back of his truck to devil'd playground to look at the stars. We got out there and it was freezing! So we were there for like 15 mins and everyone was too cold to stay there, so we left. On our way back to their camp we saw a bunch of ambulances and cops, and there was this truck that rolled 6 times and the top had been totally crushed in. Life Flight had to come and take him away. Then we all went back and made smores. Smores and beer really don't go together very well, just for future knowledge. Then we all got tired and climbed into bed a5round 3:30am. Then ash woke me up at 8am!! So we headed back over to our camp and went out for one more ride before we all packed up and left. Ash got to drive the buggy (her dad shifted it for her, but still). Then we all pack up and headed out. When we got back to Esco we went straight to Jil's and grubbed. We ran into Ryan Piroutek outside Jil's which was cool. Then i took her home and we unpacked everything, and i went home. I finally got to take a shower too, i was soo happy! Then Nicki and Jubs came a picked me up and i went down to El Cajon to see Jubs' band play at a Halloween Carnival. They did an awesome job, and i love Brenden's voice. When they finished their second set we headed back to Esco and then i went over to Noella and Nayeli's for a Halloween party. That was pretty chill, the coolest part was that we all got to see each other again. Krystal and Kate were there too! Then i went home around 11:30 and fell right into bed and was asleep when my head hit the pillow. So all in all it was a pretty awesome weekend. I hope everyone else had a good Halloween too!!
