I met Danity Kane!
So I got an email from the Danity Kane newsletter saying Danity Kane was doing a CD signing in Baltimore on August 29th. So when I got out of work I picked Jake up and we went to Baltimore.
We only had one obstacle in the way..as I was drive down Georgia Ave (like Mission for the MP folks) the car starts to just coast.. The battery had died! Well, Jake and a nice man pushed the car off the main road..Jake jiggles the cords and the car starts right back up and we went on our way..The whole time I was afraid it would die on the expressway.
The place was pretty easy to find and the fact there was a HUGE line coming from the store made it more obvious were it was. We waited about 45 minutes in line (not bad really) and then there they were! They are gorgeous in person. I got to talk to them, they thanked us for making them #1 on the Billboard Charts (over Christina, Jake mentions to Aundrea's delight) and Jake was wearing a frat shirt and Aubrey was like " I was in a sorority" and I was like "I'm an AXO too!" She told me "I'd do the handshake, but I don't remember it" I laughed thinking I've forgot it too from the lack of formal mtgs. She gave me a hug, took a picture with me, and signed the CD jacket with a big AXO!
They are the nicest girls ever! They still appreciate being stars! They are going to be in McLean, Virginia in October for a fashion show/ performance (I think)/ signing so I might go, because basically I can.
DC is so great because of things like this. Flint and Mount Pleasant never gave me access to the stars!
