Summary: Donghae’s gonna be a Daddy! That’s the good news. The bad news? The soon-to-be ‘mother’ is none other than Super Junior’s own -currently extremely moody -Kim Kibum, and his only goal for the next nine months (Well, besides taking care of the baby) is to make Donghae’s life a living hell. M-preg.
Donghae quickly closed his eyes as the door to his room rattled open. It had become a routine he guessed. All day, for the last month, Kibum had been nothing but moody towards the hyper dancer and would lash out at him at every little thing. But then every night around twelve, Donghae would hear his door open, and Kibum would sneak into bed with him, promptly falling asleep with his arms wrapped around the older man.
He feigned sleep as he heard the door close behind Kibum. The younger quickly made his way to the bed, the mattress dipping with added weight as he leaned in to lightly poke Donghae in the back of the neck. His skin erupted into Goosebumps at the touched, and he squeezed his eyes shut, hopping that Kibum wouldn’t notice he was awake.
The last time Kibum had realized Donghae was awake while he snuck in, it had resulted in more than a few objects being flung at Donghae’s head, not to mention eleven other cranky members being awoken from their sleep, which only resulted in more screaming at Donghae (Because no one could yell at Kibum, he was pregnant and hormonal after all. So naturally, the fault goes to Donghae.) Donghae had to admit though, that seeing Kibum get all flushed and embarrassed from being discovered was really cute. Not worth all the trouble though. Not when he could see his cute sleeping face instead without all the added difficulties.
He heard the younger boy sigh before the familiar weight of his arms settled around his middle.
Donghae yawned loudly, finally waking from sleep. Blinking at his clock, he realized that it was well into the afternoon. That was weird. Usually, Kibum would have woken him by running out of his bed in a sudden fit of morning sickness. He stifled another yawn before laying back into bed. Not like there was anything scheduled that day anyways.
“Hmm, Hae…”
Donghae jumped back out in surprise. “Kibummie! You’re still here?”
Kibum pulled Donghae’s face down his face, so he could see the other man, and glared at him. “What’s wrong with me being here?”
Donghae flailed his hands around. “Nothing! It’s just that you’re usually sick in the morning. I thought you’d, you know, be throwing up in the bathroom or something!”
“Don’t jinx me Hae-Hyung.” Kibum cracked a small grin, and Donghae couldn’t help but smile. “I don’t like throwing up as much as-“
Grrrr
Kibum flushed and his hands flew to his stomach.
Donghae blinked twice before asking slowly. “Are you hungry Kibummie?”
Kibum shook his head furiously. Just the thought of eating something was enough to make him queasy.
Donghae frowned. “Kibum, you have to eat something. You’ll get sick.”
The younger boy scowled. “I’ll throw it up either way!”
“You have to eat.” Donghae jumped out of bed, pulling the blankets off Kibum in the process. He tugged at the younger boy’s arms but Kibum refused to move.
“I don’t wanna eat!”
Donghae frowned, his hands flying to his hips in a disapproving manner. “You might not want to eat, but I’m sure the baby does!”
Kibum looked up and Donghae through his hair, and scowled. “Fine! I’m not moving though.” He emphasized this fact by grabbing Donghae’s pillow and snuggling against it.
Donghae smiled at the rather childish action before leaving the room.
He came back with a plate of apples cut into little bunny shapes. Ryeowook had told him not to feed Kibum anything heavy. He said fruits would be the best things.
Placing the plate on his side table, he nudged Kibum, who was curled up around the pillow, like he had been a couple of minutes ago. “Come on Bummie! I know you’re not asleep.”
Kibum didn’t move. The older man tsked and got down on his knees on the bed. “Kibummie~” He nuzzled the younger boy’s neck, his arms sneaking under his shirt and resting on his growing tummy. He grinned as Kibum froze under him, his hands coming out to rest on top of his on his stomach.
With a sigh, Kibum uncurled himself from the pillow and sat up. His eyes narrowed on the rabbit-apples on the table. “You didn’t cut those.”
“No, Sungmin Hyung did.” Donghae answered with a smile.
The younger boy stubbornly crossed his arms over his stomach. “I don’t want them. I want you to cut it.” Donghae would have laughed at Kibum’s strange behavior, but before he could, the door to his room burst open, revealing a near-to-tears Sungmin.
“You don’t want my apples Kibummie??!” He asked, clutching tightly to Kyuhyun’s arm (Who he seemed to be dragging everywhere lately.) He must have been holding on rather tightly, because Kyuhyun was wearing a very pained expression.
“No.”
Sungmin wailed, rather shrilly, and squeezed Kyuhyun’s arm tighter, making him wince.
“Oh my God, Hyung! Let go of me and I’ll eat them!” The magnae insisted. Sungmin instantly released him, looking up at him with sparkly eyes.
“You will? I love you Kyu~”
Kibum stood up, grabbing Donghae’s wrist with one hand and the plate of apples with the other.
“Here,” he handed the plate to Kyuhyun with a small smile before dragging Donghae to the kitchen.
“I really really can’t do this Kibummie.” Donghae sat at the kitchen table with a green apple in one hand and a knife in the other.
The younger boy rolled his eyes. “It’s not that hard. I don’t care if it looks nice. You just have to cut it.”
“Can’t you just eat it like this?”
The only answer Donghae got was Kibum leaning against the table, his head in his hands as he watched him with intent.
Donghae’s cheeks puffed out stubbornly but started to cut the apple, feeling like Kibum would throw a fit if he didn’t do something soon.
“Ouch!”
The younger man quickly jumped from his seat as Donghae dropped the apple and knife onto the counter.
“Kibummie! It hurts!” He cried, looking at his bleeding finger in distress.
“You’re hopeless.” Kibum stated, gabbing Donghae’s hand and pulling his finger into his mouth.
The older man sputtered and blushed red at the act. Kibum looked up from his job, pulling the finger out of his mouth before stating, “Don’t think this means you can do anything.” He glared.
After fixing up Donghae’s sliced finger, Kibum picked up the abandoned apple and started cutting it into slices.
Donghae watched him in fascination. “Wow, Bummie! You can do anything!” He cheered
The younger man rolled his eyes. He held up a slice to Donghae’s mouth, “Ah.”
Donghae grinned, biting into the apple before Kibum withdrew his hand, popping the remainder of the apple into his mouth.
“Hey Kibum?”
“Hmm?”
“I love you.”
Kibum looked up from his slicing to smile at his lover. “I love you too.”
The one thing Donghae really realized over the course of Kibum’s pregnancy was that he was big. Insensitive to say -and he wouldn’t ever say it out loud in fear of the younger’s wrath - but it was true.
It wasn’t hard to see and Kibum's -out of character, but what isn’t at this point -whining about his weight emphasized it even more. Even Heechul and Leeteuk thought it was strange for Kibum to be that big. It had after all only been two months.
Some of the more touchy members of the band were actually quite ecstatic that Kibum was showing, namely Sungmin, Ryeowook, and Eunhyuk. They -much to the dismay of Kibum and the fear of Donghae -took every opportunity they had to feel Kibum's growing belly.
“Does it kick yet?” Eunhyuk had asked, sitting on the floor by Kibum's legs, hands on the younger man’s tummy.
“Don’t call my baby an “It” Hyukkie!” Donghae whined, flinging his legs in the older dancer’s direction. He sat on the couch with his arm wrapped loosely around Kibum.
“But we don’t know what it is yet.” Ryeowook commented, sitting on the other end of the couch, taking up a lot of space as he was over on his knees and elbows so his face was aligned with Kibum's stomach. He liked to talk to the baby.
Donghae pouted at Ryeowook's comment but didn’t hit him like he’d done Eunhyuk. He couldn’t. Ryeowook was too sweet.
“Maybe you should go check its gender?” Ryeowook suggested helpfully before continuing to coo at Kibum's stomach. “We all want to know who you are~ Yes we do~”
“Can’t.” Kibum supplied nonchalantly, not looking up from the book in his hands. It still irritated him at times but he was getting better at everyone’s constant pestering. “It’s still too early to know.”
Ryeowook and Eunhyuk both looked at Kibum with confused expressions.
“What? That’s not possible!” Eunhyuk whined. “You’re so huge! You must be able to know right?”
Kibum's finger slipped as he turned the page of his book, the paper tearing down the middle. He clenched his teeth and glared down at Eunhyuk with fire in his eyes. He didn’t say anything as he got up abruptly, knocked the older man over and stepped on him with enough force to make him cry out softly before marching off to Donghae's room and slamming the door behind him.
“What did I do?” The injured dancer asked, whimpering.
Donghae shook his head and sighed. “He’s pregnant Hyukkie. You can’t throw the h-word around like that.” He stated wisely.
“The h-h-word?”
Kibum cringed in distain at his reflection. They couldn’t pick a nicer look?
No. Apparently the ugly baggy shirt was necessary to hide his growing tummy.
To be honest, Kibum was surprised when Leeteuk had told him he’d have to participate in their next music video. He didn’t have to do anything, the song had been recorded, and he wasn’t included in the choreography, he just had to show up. He didn’t get the point. They’d already come up with an excuse for his absence so why drag him in now?
“E.L.Fs have been restless since they announced that you’re not working on the Album.” Han Geng had informed him that morning while making Heechul and Kibum some Beijing fried rice.
He muttered to himself while scrutinizing himself in the dressing-room mirror.
On top of being baggy, the button up he wore was decorated in a strange abstract pattern. And that weird, misplaced, green butterfly on the left. It was ugly.
He also hadn’t had the chance to cut his hair lately. The stylist’s had pulled it out of his face with a band so I hung loose around the back of his neck.
“You okay Kibum?”
Kibum looked at Siwon through the mirror.
Siwon's wearing the same kind smile he usually did around the members, and Kibum couldn’t help smiling back.
“I’m a guy, and I’m pregnant, Hyung. What do you think?”
Siwon chuckled before shuffling over and patting Kibum's slightly slick hair.
“I’m sure you’ll be fine, Bummie. You have all of us behind you, isn’t that right?”
Kibum smiled slyly at himself in the mirror.
“Yea. Convince them to let me wear a different outfit and I might like you even more.”
The taller man simply laughed.
Donghae winced as the director called another cut. This was bad, it was almost dawn, and they still hadn’t gotten the music video down.
Well, more like Donghae hadn’t.
His mind was still on Kibum. And the director had obviously noticed the way his eyes kept trailing the younger man otherwise they would have long done by now.
“Nice going.”
There was an onslaught of jeering and somewhat-playful smacks to the back and head of the dazed dancer. All coming from tired, worn-out members.
All Donghae could manage was a mumbled “Sorry,” in compensation.
“Why don’t you get your head out of the clouds?” Kibum asked him when the director calls a break.
Donghae looked at the other man with a slight furrow in his eyebrows.
“But I’m worried.”
Kibum raised an eyebrow, the gesture alone easily spelled out, “about what?” to Donghae.
“… I’m worried about you.”
The younger man let an undesirable scowl fall over his face. “I’m pregnant, Hae-Hyung. Not utterly helpless. I can take care of myself.” He finished off by turning away, but Donghae could still make out the light flush on his face in the bright studio lights around them.
“Okay.”
“We’re back!”
Donghae trailed into the foyer of the apartment and took off his jacket before realizing that Kibum hadn’t followed him in. Sticking his head back out into the hall, he glared a little at Kibum standing there defiantly, leaning against the opposite wall with his arm crossed over his chest.
“They’ll try and touch them.” He scowled before Donghae could tell him to come in. “There’s no way they’re touching them.”
Donghae sighed and tried to speak but the door swung open behind him, revealing a smiling Leeteuk and a giddy Sungmin and Ryeowook behind him.
“Welcome home. So, how was the check up?”
Donghae saw Kibum swallow and behind them Leeteuk's face erupted in worry. “Di-did something happen to the baby?”
Donghae sighed and ran a hand through his hair before gesturing everyone in. “Before we tell you anything, you,” He looked pointedly at Sungmin and Ryeowook, “have to promise to refrain yourselves and stop making Bummie uncomfortable.” He crossed his arms over his chest with finality and ignored the way Kibum glared at him at making him sound like some kind of weakling.
Ryeowook and Sungmin nodded their heads vigorously.
Donghae took Kibum's hand in his, and Kibum stepped out from behind the older man partly.
“There’s three.”
A/N: Imagine that Kibum’s pregnancy takes place in early 2009, and the reason he could rarely participate in activities is because he was taking care of Hae’s babies :D and that the reason he’s so chubby recently is because he’s still working off his post-pregnancy tubbiness :DD *shot*
Kibum’s so out of character that it kind of disappoints me though :(
EDIT: I redid this so there’s only one part; please excuse me if you have to reread some things -_-;
Next chapter includes mothers >u>
I know I haven't been writing in a while, but I've been concentrating on other things and I"m sorry if my updating habits continue as such...
