So, I saw both The Bourne Ultimatum and The Simpson's Movie.
Both were freaking awesome, and if I had the money, I would see both again.
Spoiler-y reviews below!
Now the last time I saw the second movie was a while ago. And the previews for this one had me extremely hyped. So my expectations were quite high.
And they were totally exceeded which made the movie even more worth it.
(+) HOLY CRAP the action scenes. My favorite would have to be the Morocco rooftops scene. It was so intense, and I loved how there was no music when they showed Nikki or Desh, but as soon as they showed Bourne the music went crazy. Then the NY action scene. WHEN DO THEY FILM THESE THINGS AND WHY DO I NEVER FIND OUT. Either way, that car chase was insane.
"Sir, he drove off the roof"
"He WHAT?"
"He drove off the roof sir".
Priceless. And when the car was rammed against those construction things, damn man. It was all just so intense. My throat kept getting dry because it was just so tense.
(+) Nikki. She was pretty damn cool. And liked the hair cutting scene. Paralleled with the first movie. But, what the hell did she mean when she said "it was always harder with you" or whatever. I kept thinking it would be followed up but it wasn't. Hmmph. I always sort of secretly shipped Bourne and Nikki. But then poor Marie had to die and make things all sad.
(+) That scene where he was talking on the phone with the reporter and trying to guide him. Awesome! Such good direction.
(+) Perfect balance of action and actual story. I don't really like mindless action movies, so the fact that there is an actual plot makes it all better.
(+) I have no negative things to say.
I don't know. I saw it a while ago. I think I saw it on the 5th I think. Yea. So long time ago. But I really enjoyed it.
And as for The Simpsons: LOVED IT.
Unlike Bourne Ultimatum, I had really low expectations for this, and it was super.
Really funny throughout, and it was the perfect mix of everything. It actually had a good solid story, solid for a 1 hr 47 min episode of a cartoon that is, and the jokes and everything came in perfectly.
Also I loved how the plot was so that you had a chance to see pretty much every regular Springfield resident.
Ralph=LOVE.
And just so I remember which quotes I remembered most:
I like men now - Ralph
Take that dome. Take that. (bubble pops in his eye) Go back go back! - Ralph
Thanks Boob Lady. - Homer (lmao)
I was elected to lead. Not read. - President Schwarzenegger (totally spelled it right in first try. am very proud of self)
Black! But that's the worse color of all. No offense Carl. - Lenny
And there were just a lot of other funny parts that didn't involve quotes.
And the entire movie was just so beautiful. SO crisp, colorful and shiny. Loved it.
