Agh!!!! Why doesn't it work???

Hey y'all. I have a little question. I borrowede my flatmate's webcam (a Logitech pro 4000 or something) and though people can see me, they can't hear me. I have gone through it all and set it up all right (I think) but still no sound at the other end. I get sound if I record a clip on my laptop, just nothing if I MSN on v7.5.

Any ideas??? I'm well stuck...
