Miitopia (TARRRPG cast) Playthrough --- Part 1
[Spoilered for length]
And as my story begins in the distant land of Miitopia, we come across a simple traveller...
Hi Yoshika---
Nooooooo! You jinxed it!!!
...thanks Captain Obvious.
But suddenly, in a flash of light...
OHMIGOD it's a butterfly with a PAIR OF EYES! RUN FOR IT YOSHIKA-CHAN!!!
Is she safe now? Does she have a head? More importantly, where is she?
She soon comes across a town called "Greenhorne", where lives some pretty...well, interesting people courtesy of SpotPass and a good dose of RNG. For example...
Uhhhh...nothing, Zoidberg. Nothing at all.
And after some talking in this peaceful town (and it's iterated a few times that this town is peaceful), Yoshika finally comes across its dubious mayor:
(Rob Dyke) Greenhorne's a nice town. But I am mayor, so I would say that---
But wait...up in the sky! What's that!?
...oh no. It cannot be...!
(Okay, no, not that. But... :P)
(Here we are asked to choose someone to play the Dark Lord. Since the other TARRRPG players chose a MSK party, there is only one logical candidate...)
Because to him the only good Martian is a Martian with his face stolen. :P
(Had the TARRRPG players chose an ESU party, Zaddel would've been this.)
The DARK LORD ROWAN quickly wrecks havoc on Greenhorne's various inhabitants.
(Rowan) Take a nice long look at your poor little friends...AND DESPAIR! Buh-bye! >:D
And with that he's gone. Bellsprout then asks Yoshika to get Gandalf's face back posthaste, and gives her a Family Heirloom pendant as a keepsake. Naturally being set to having a Kind personality, she sets off to do her best!
(Yoshika prays at this point that she doesn't run into the Balrog anytime soon.)
She doesn't, but soon she comes across none other than the Dark Lord Rowan himself, who taunts Yoshika with the face she seeks...
(Rowan) How good are you in a fight...?
He flicks his hands, and the face flies into...
Naturally Yoshika is stuck, but suddenly the pendant she was given earlier glows...
And a divine voice speaks to her...
And in an instant she multi-classed to Cleric on the spot!
(The thing about Miitopia is that you only get to control one character in combat: Your own, with the rest of your party acting as per AI quirks. I really wanted to control the Healing given this, so this was why Yoshika was chosen as the main character over Selvaria or Rinne, and why she is a cleric (like, come on. She already is this in Strike Witches anyway). Other possible starting classes include Warrior, Mage, Thief, Pop Star(!?) and Chef(!?!?!?), but more on those later.)
With her newfound powers, Yoshika...melees Slime!Gandalf to death and frees his face...
One face saved out of many, many others to come!
The Dark Lord Rowan shall not pass.
And hyped up with this early success, Yoshika sets out throughout the rest of Miitopia to hunt down the Dark Lord Rowan and rescue more faces from the grip of darkness...more meleeing stuff to death ensues, naturally, since she's only Level 1 though. But that is for another time...
