1. Robin/Amon, Witch Hunter Robin. My OTP. I adore this pairing, but I've found VERY few quality fics about them. Too many people try to jump straight to declarations of love and hot sex. Now, while smut is fun, on ocassion, that scenario completely ignores the personalities of these two. Amon is the pretty much the most secretive, reserved character you can find. Robin was practically raised as a nun. Fics need to reflect this. Personally, I view their relationship as one of two people who are completely obsessed with one another. I mean, Amon practically stalks her. I prefer fics that focus on this obsession, rather than happy bunnies and romance.
2. Anderson/Heinkel, Hellsing. My newest obsession. I've only read a few fics and would love to write one, but I'm not sure I can. That could be a very complex relationship, and I can't wait to get my hands on volume 6 to see more interaction between them. As someone else said, the guilt makes it even hotter.
3. Spike/Faye, Cowboy Bebop. It may very well be sabinelagrande's influence, but I enjoy this one, especially when presented as an unrequited love.
4. Aragorn/Arwen, Lord of the Rings. I love canon ships. I appreciate this one even more after being exposed to all the crapfics out there pairing Aragorn with random other characters.
5. Daria/Trent, Daria. Leave me alone.
6. Michael/Robin, Witch Hunter Robin. Even though I don't see anything other than friendship from Robin's end in the canon (she can't keep her eyes off Amon), fics written from Michael's point of view can be very well done. I could definitely see Michael admiring her from a distance, but he would never act because everything between her and Amon is so obvious. Those two have such a wonderful friendship. Slash in Witch Hunter Robin makes me cry. I just can't see it.
7. Alucard/Integra, Hellsing. I have to join the group here. This one just has too many possibilities to pass up. Alucard's respect for her is such a big part of why I enjoy it. The only other relationship I can see him in is Alucard/Young Walter during WWII.
8. Naota/Haruko, FLCL. Such a cracked out series. But I can't help but like it; it's such a gorgeous show. I've never read any fic for them, mostly because I'm afraid of it. As disturbing as their relationship can be, due to the overt sexual nature of it, the dynamic is interesting, especially at the end of the series.
9. Nagira/Doujima, Witch Hunter Robin. A couple of hints in the canon, but I just like it. Nagira's such a pimp, and Doujima can be so ditzy. There are some really fun ideas in there; I would love to see a more light-hearted fic about them. They're the not-so-gloomy members of the cast.
10. Anubis/Mr. Cigarette Box, Lounge Rats. Don't ask. Just... don't.

1. I love canon and near-canon ships.
2. I really enjoy fics about unrequited love. Maybe it's a little bit of the sadist in me?
3. I have a special place in my heart for crack pairings and people who might be on crack in pairings.
