how to credit an icon
I've noticed that many users on livejournal do not credit their icons. While sometimes it is understandable, it is insulting to the artist who worked hard to make it. Some icons take little time to make, while others can be very complicated. It is important to credit the creator of icons and graphics so that others may be refered to their journal to enjoy their work. Anyway, it is a simple task to credit your icon maker. See below. :3
1- Go to the top navigation bar and select manage -> userpics
2- Upload the icon from your computer, or url. Add the keyword that you prefer.
3- Credit the icon maker by typing their name in the comments or keywords.
Most makers, including myself, are not particular on how you go about doing it.
typing the html above with my name will give you a link to my journal.
however, I am not picky. simply typing "omgrei"(which is my regular journal) in the keywords box is acceptable as well.
