Well hello wayward post readers. Been a while.
Norfolk's okay, it's pretty much all base and that's mostly naval stock yards... kinda tough to get around without a car. I thought about buying one but with deployment just better then a week away I kinda don't see the point. It's kind of stupid, they moved up our deployment day a week and are rushing us across the world, and why? so that we can have a clear presense of force for the elections in Iraq. Yeah cause you know all the pirates in the Persian Gulf really like to time their shit with the election season... big voters you know. It's all good I guess, looks like I'm gonna get to see Spain, Greece and maybe Egypt before trudging off to our station.
I'm trying to take a lot of pictures, but I'm not sure on the base policy for photography, everyone keeps telling me "well when we had family day, all the visitors were snapping pictures." Well I'm not a god damn civilian, there are rules I have to follow and I'd like to know for sure if not taking pictures on a military installation is one of them. Either way I'm sure to get whole CD's of pics overseas, hey maybe I can steal some foreigners' souls while I'm at it, that's be cool.
