Bookkeeping!

Name: Suzie Shotgun/Shotgun Suzie/Oh God, it's Her, run!
Age: 27 - 30
Canon: Simon R. Green's Nightside series
Circa: Up to the 10th book, 'The Good, The Bad and the Uncanny'

Location Background:

The Nightside is known as the "sick, secret, magical heart" of the city of London, almost like a separate alternate dimension. It is always 3 A.M. in the morning. There, anything is possible, and a lot that people would consider to be impossible or improbable exist. An example would be the Hawk's Wind Bar & Grill, an old '60s cafe that was burnt down, yet still persists as a ghost building. Also, while the story runs in the current timeline of the 21st century, there exists people from possible futures or timelines, as well as "lost" legends of the past. Robots, supercomputers, Marilyn Monroe, they all have made appearances in the series. There are demon run Nightclubs, and places where people are able to achieve their wildest dreams and fantasies. You want to relive a childhood moment? Go to the Nightside. But do watch out for the man-eating cars.

To get to the Nightside, you can take a train from a station under the London Underground. The line can be accessed through a janitor's closet, and has 4 stops: the one under the station, the Street of the Gods, Shadow Falls, and the Nightside. The trains are windowless, self driver and sentient to a degree. Not that that would be the only entrance, but it's the one we know about.

The current Nightside has gone through the Angel war, (Bk 2), as well as a war with the Biblical myth, Lilith (Bk 6) who was revealed to be it's creator. She wanted a place where Heaven and Hell would have no power or influence. After fighting off Lilith's attempted takeover, Walker takes charge in place of the slaughtered Authorities and begins rebuilding the Nightside from the damage. There is soon established a new group of people who make up the Authorities. Well known faces and major players, helping to make decisions that affect the Nightside. They include Jessica Sorrow, Julian Advent, Count Video and Larry Oblivion.

One other point of note: There exists something known as Timeslips, an area where time has shifted from the current reality, they come and go, and are unpredictable. You could find yourself walking into a jungle that had died out over a thousand years ago with no notice at all.
Character Background, Personality:
Suzie is a hardened bounty hunter of the Nightside, a hidden city within London. She’s tall, blond, blue eyed and wears black motorcycle leathers. She never outright reveals what her life was like prior to her arrival there, but it’s family trouble that led her to the Nightside. She made a name for herself as a bounty hunter, favouring a 12-guage pump action shotgun. Tough, hardened and determined, she never turns down a job, and will hunt down her targets to the ends of the earth, and you ask her to watch your back, she’ll stick with you, no matter how hot it gets. On a trip back in time, she gained an injury, causing her to lose her left eye, and permanently scarring her face. Currently, she’s in a relationship with John Taylor, a man who can find anything, as long as it’s in the Nightside. She’s also working for Walker, the current “governing body” of the Nightside. She can often be found by the scent of cordite, screaming and trail of destruction she leaves in her wake.

She’s cold to those around her, no matter how close they are. She doesn’t really trust anyone, due to the fact that her brother had led her on, only to abandon her to the accusations of her parents when she got pregnant. He was her first kill, at the age of 12. She doesn’t like to talk about if.

She’s guarded, closed off to people around her, using the distance as a shield against emotional hurt. When faced with problems, she charges in head first, guns blazing. She’s trigger happy, and is likely to shoot first, and shrug it off, even if she was in the wrong. To her, violence is always an option. She’s perfectly aware of what she is, and how she treats others.

Little to nothing surprises Suzie, else she would never have lasted so long in the Nightside. She has an information network and resources that keep her updated on what's up with who. We are first introduced to Suzie while she is in a 30 to 1 shoot out at the Fortress*, causing massive property damage, but deliberately not injuring anyone, as the contract stated the runaway lawyer was to be returned intact. She's definitely in her element. When not working, she degenerates into a slob, lying around at home, watching biker movies, like "Destry Rides Again", and Bruce Lee DVDs. (Remember, Bruce Lee is God, Jackie Chan is a cheap imitation.)
From the events surrounding her departure from the mundane world, and into the Nightside, she is extremely touch-phobic. The way her parents blamed her for her brother's seduction, forcing her to keep and look at the preserved fetus from the abortion. This in turn caused her to build brick walls around her heart and emotions. A while back, when Taylor decided to leave the Nightside, she shot him in the back, knowing the WANTED papers for him where fake as she was unable to ask him to stay any other way. Her exact words about the event about 5 years later concerned the fact that even monsters got lonely. Even in her current relationship with Taylor, there is only a little physical contact. In fact, during the Angel war, she almost let Taylor fall to his death rather that reach out a hand to help pull him up and out of a crack.
The events surrounding the lost of her eye involved a trip back in time, just after the fall of Camelot. Sir Kay came to kill Merlin, for abandoning Arthur in his our of need, and it is while fighting him that she receives the wound that now scars her face.

*The Fortress, a building built by alien abductees who really don't want to go back. There's cameras everywhere (even bathrooms), security is 24/7, up-to-date and tight. Little surprise it's commonly used as a refuge for people on the run. Don't forget, there have an arsenal fit to put an army to shame.

Abilities: Well versed in shooting, and fights dirty. She once used a stiletto heel as a weapon when she ran out of bullets. On an older case, she was given an infusion of werewolf blood, resulting in a higher resilience, and slightly faster healing ability, however, this can be negated with silver. She’s hard to sneak up on, paranoia, came with the job. Knows classic ways to deal with monsters.

Other:
She's never been known to screw up a job, if she wants you dead, you'll die. But that doesn't mean she only shoots once.
She wears two bandoliers of ammo across her chest. She also has grenades attached.
The only vegetables she eats comes from canned soup.
She has a headband reportedly made from the skin of her first kill.
She was once possessed by an angel.
In an alternate future where the Lillith war obliterated most life from earth, she was bound to the "Speaking Gun" which spoke the word of unmaking of any object and sent back so that that future could be prevented. That version of her went insane, and was dispatched by the soul of Merlin before she did anything.
Taylor just might get her a backpack nuke for her birthday. Something most sane people do not want. (Sorry, there's no birthday specified.)
Knows how to make blessed ammo.

Previous boyfriends have run away screaming due to repeated showings of "Destry Rides Again" and other similar movies.
