Live at the Apollo
Wendi and I went to see Jenny Lewis last night at the Apollo theatre. The Apollo is on 125th street and, in my opinion, is located in the epicenter of Harlem. I was excited enough about all of this. There was no opening band announced or anything so we didn't know what to expect. Jenny comes out on stage and announces her taller friend Sarah Silverman will be opening up. Sarah comes out and does a 45 minute set. Some pretty funny stuff. I am a really big Sarah Silverman fan so a lot of the jokes I had heard before. I think she may have been trying out some new material because she is doing a one week stint in NYC in November. Either way an incredible treat.
