Is it a customary Halloween ritual to leave such parts lying around?

What are customary Halloween rituals? I have heard talks of it at home, however, never experienced it.

Not in my world. Especially not leaving kidneys in places where I think they're ingredients for steak and kidney pie.

Why would you eat a kidney? It is the dirtiest part of the body.

Not if you prepare it properly. Anyway, steak and kidney pie tastes good.

What else is in it, besides steak and kidney?

Um... a sauce made from beef and onions and parsley, with some flour to thicken it.

And anyway, seal kidneys taste good raw!

They, most likely, have a digestive system capable of handling it.

I was hungry and it tasted good. And I ate the whole thing and I didn't get sick afterwards.

How's it different from eating sushi then?

Sushi is just the meat of the fish. A kidney is an organ that cleans impurities out of the body.

Oh. I think people light candles in every room and make soul cakes- or at least, that's what I think they did. I didn't grow up in a house, so I never really saw it up close.

Little cakes you bake and eat.
