I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier

The other day I got this severe urge to write. I have no idea why, but it almost made my head hurt because it wouldn't go away. Writing, however, would take serious time away from drinking and/or playing video games (although I don't do nearly as much drinking as I would like to). Then I thought to myself, if I write, what am I going to do with it? I could delete it when I'm all done since it's out of my head, which is what I typically do, or I could post it in my LJ for all to read. The problem with the latter is that my LJ would then officially become everything I hate about the internet, and I don't see that happening. By this I mean people who think they can write, but can't (and I'm not saying that I can), putting their work up for all to see, and then bitching about people's comments over it. Not going to happen...
