Yesterday was so much fun. Well, with the exception of working 9-2, but at least it wasn't busy and I get paid extra. Erin, Ian, Dave and I went into Boston all day after I got out of work. I had to help my mom work at the Museum of Science's 4th of July party. It was on the roof of the parking garage and there were like 3300 people up there. Of course, we didn't join in the festivities, but most of the time we either threw stuff off the side into the Charles River or we played Hacky Sack at various locations.
Once my mom was done, some people inflated a 20 ft. TV screen. Oh great, I came all the way to Boston to sit on a roof and watch a big TV. At that point, I was just thinking I should have stayed home because it was probably less windy in the confines of my house. Much less windy. In fact, the wind just about blew the fucking thing over onto everyone, and Dave and I had to help keep it standing straight. Fortunately, David Lee Roth came on the TV so it was all worth it.
The fireworks didn't start until about 10:30, but they were probably the best I've ever seen. I actually thought they were going to be a little closer to us, but whatever. The only problem with that was the smoke from the fireworks covered up the pretty colors towards the end, but you could still see the reflection of them in the Prudential Center, which was so cool.
It took a wicked long time to get out, and I didn't get home until about 1.
Today: Work 2-5.
