Basically here's how it works, you click the link, put in your name and address, then they give you a list of various offers such as Blockbuster Online, Video Professor, etc. Many of them are free trial offers for the first month or whatever. You sign up for one of them, and often you can cancel immidiately before you are charged and still get credit for doing the offer. That would be one "referral" under my account. Then you give the referral link they give you to a bunch of your friends, and each one who does what you just did counts as one referral for you. The great thing is, if you pick the right offers (and it's very clear which ones are free and which ones aren't), you can complete the whole thing without you or your friends spending a cent!

I personally chose the blockbuster online one, because that was even better than free.. $10 for the first month, you end up with 2 free game rentals (worth $7 each) plus about 15 movie rentals that month (depending on how quickly you send them back)... that's an amazing deal!

These things are definitely worth doing.. and hey even if you don't manage to get all the referrals you needed, you didn't lose anything in the process.

If you go to the referral page and click on the referral you did (make sure popups are allowed for this page or hold control down when you click it to allow the popup) it should come up with a little box that says exactly what the requirements are and how long it takes to get credit.

I believe that with the credit card ones it can take a couple of weeks.. they may only give you credit if you actually get approved for the card, i had a friend who did that one, he got rejected for the card and never got credit for doing the offer =/

I stay away from those and just do the trial offers that say you get credit instantly =)
