PETA sucks

I am not a vegetarian, so this may be slightly biased, but I am starting to think that any self-respecting vegetarian or vegan would even be ashamed to have an idiotic organization like PETA as the most known voice on the subject of what many consider to be a respectable lifestyle/cause.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals will be in Boise on Friday staging a "Live Make-Out Tour" to promote vegetarian eating, PETA spokesman Ravi Chand said.

The event - in which a couple will make out in a bed set up on a city sidewalk - is meant to demonstrate PETA's claims that vegetarians are better lovers, Chand said. Additional activists will pass out information about the health benefits of vegan living.

"This is really supposed to be a fun, lighthearted event to draw attention to a serious issue, like the fact eating meat can make you fat and lethargic and damper your sex life" -- The guy making out.

No offense intended to vegetarians but I know way more fat and lethargic vegetarians than vibrant healthy ones. The PETA representatives I have come in contact with have all been quite a bit overweight, probably due to lack of certain nutrients the rest of us get from meat, as well as a MUCH higher carb diet from pasta, bread, and potatoes with nothing else to balance it out.

They have also not been very nice people either. In fact no matter how much I tried to give them the respect I thought they deserved, even though I feel their platform is stupid, they made it a point to repeatedly slam my lifestyle choice. And people say Bible-thumpers are annoying.
