Toronto Marathon is Confirmed

I just got my confirmation back, saying that I'm qualified for the marathon. So basically all of this month and next month I am going to be training every other day to improve on my cardio and endurance. So on one training day, I'll basically run for 8 to 10 kilometers, increasing the distance as I go. On the other training day, I'll be working on ( Read more... )

Good luck! Stair-climbing is really good for larger leg muscles, 'tis true. Don't make the exercises too difficult, though - the type of muscle you want to develop is low-weight-high-rep muscle (I forget the actual name of it). If the exercise is too hard, you'll be building high-weight-low-rep muscle - which isn't bad, but it's different than what you want.

Hey, Pup. That's wonderful. Your training regiment seems intense. I wasn't lying when I said that within the next three years, I'd like to maybe run one with you. Just keep that in mind, that you will have competition. ;)

I wish you all of the best luck with your training and I might just steal some of your training tricks and adapt them for my sorry ass. =D
