Imaging woes and new Gym Facilities

Back before I started creating the image for my professor's classrooms, he told me that the image had to be generated sector by sector, or Linux won't boot. This means it took 6.5 hours to generate an image, instead of about 40 minutes. However, I spoke with Brian about it, and we agreed to try generating the image without a sector by sector scan. Low and behold... Fedora 8 booted just fine. I was pissed.

Regenerating the image with some fixes, and redeploying to an entire classroom took 4 hours. That's generating, testing, fixing, generating, then deploying to 27 machines.

It took a total of one week to just deploy the old image to 27 computers. Brian fixed a few flaws in the image while I was training some new people at work. We have a bit more work to do, but now we know we can get it done in less than a day.

The good news is that bathing facilities HAVE been moved while the gym gets an overhaul. This means I can use the weight room in my off time, and shower before going to work. So my schedule will be: Volunteer work >2 hour break to work out and eat > work on most days.
