Chicago Pics
Back in September, I went to Chicago with shimmeringstar1 Here are some pictures from that trip.
The Shedd Aquarium. Deb and I went to the Museum of Natural History instead.
There was an airshow going on that weekend, and we got a free show from the Blue Angels. It was pretty cool to see them buzzing downtown.

Dinner one night was a private affair for committee members on a train. We looped Chicago eating fabulous food in renovated dining cars. It was a wonderful, wonderful evening. This pic was taken from the theater car's back window.
Of course, one of the renovated cars blew a bearing towards the end of the trip, and a bus had to come take us back to the hotel. I understand the disabled train on the tracks made life interesting for many Chicago commuters the next day... to the degree that it made local news. Still, it is a memory I will cherish for a long time.
