How Does the Garden Grow?
Plants like shit organic matter, and I've used about 500 lbs of manure in my planting endeavors this year. So much for random gardening trivia, but it is how the garden grows.
The tally for plants transplanted this weekend: dozens of day lilies and irises (some of which still need to be planted), 3 roses, an azalea, a small catalpa tree, a native redbud, three peonies, five hostas, a salvia, and a couple of trumpet vines. Plus, I scattered/planted some seeds.
No, I can't walk tonight, but I feel accomplished, anyway.
