Furry Scurry
Once again it is time for the Denver Dumb Friends League's1 annual fundraiser. No, it is not a bunch of people with a fetish for animal costumes running around, rather, it is a 2 mile charity walk/run around Washington Park with dogs (and a few cats, usually in cariers). The Dumb Friends League is the largest animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region, welcoming tens of thousands animals to their two shelters. Charlie came from their three years ago.
If you are inclined to donate, you can do so here. The Furry Scurry is their major annual fundraiser and as a non-profit they rely on donations for most of their operating costs.
1The "dumb" in the name refers to the fact that the animals can't speak. I believe this usage was a bit more common in 1910 when the DDFL was founded.
