I would post about my new job at the Grind (it's going well, though the two bosses are stupid, scary, and stupid-scary respectively) or how this semester is going so far (I did homework for five hours yesterday, and another five shall happen today, and even then I won't be totally finished with it all, and I have to write my resume, which I've been putting off for months, and I don't like any of my new art teachers really cuz they're all kinda offputting bitchez) or about life in general (I saw classy gay cinema The Bubble last night with Jeremy and Adam and it rocked my life), but I can't take too long of a break from the homeworkings.
I just sent this e-mail to my Intro to Television Studies teacher (so you'll see another point of contention I had with life in general yesterday) :
Dearest S.S.K.,
I ordered the textbook through Amazon (it was cheaper than the bookstore) and it
was supposed to arrive yesterday (Saturday, 2 day shipping) but it didn't. I've
never had trouble getting stuff from them on time so I was all in a tizzy. And
the bookstore is closed today. I checked the Reserve section online and in
person last night and they don't have it either.
I would ask for some sort of leniance because I'll likely get the book on Monday
(but I don't know when, and I work from 7:30am till 11:30am), but I think in
class you said that there wouldn't be any leniance about getting the book on
time. Or am I making that up in my head? I don't remember for sure.
If you can grant me that, then that would be super.
But, if not, or possibly even either way, I'm going to get the textbook from the
bookstore Monday after work and quick do the notecards before class. Then, when
I get the book in the mail I'll just remail it to sender to get a refund...
unless the book from the bookstore doesn't come in plastic wrap, in which case
I can just return it later on in the day.
Unless by some freak chance the bookstore is out of copies of the textbook as
well. Then I'll be just plain screwed either way. So we'll see how it goes.

P.S. sorry if this e-mail seems silly or overlong. :p
On the plus side, I think I made a good impression on her in class on Wednesday. It was only like half an hour long, but she asked us to explain how we were feeling that day by stating a TV show title. And then explain a bit. I said that I felt like
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season six"
*teacher and class laugh*
"I think you just won the dork award."
"I would hope so... but I feel that way because I messed up at my menial food service job earlier today, and Buffy had a similar job. And then inbetween classes I didn't have anyone to hang out with because everyone was busy so I felt sad and alone. Like Buffy *laugh*."
If that doesn't make her want to give me extra time to get my first class notes in, I don't know what will.
