The Secret of LIfe Itself: Don't Puke it All Out

Dec 03, 2005 11:13

Now we're picking up from this past Sunday, cuz that was the last day I wrote about...I am sinful to you LJ. But I make up by having photographs!

Rasmin and I unearthed some rather sexy info about JJ in that he cannot say no to dares and such stuff. We found out because Brian found out about the Furniture sign knockage down (see entry on last Saturday) and asked who did it; I told him but he checked the security videos for comfirmation and then chastized Andy and Kip. They had to drag out the big ol ladder to put it back up but were ineffective so they had JJ do it. Shit, I wouldn't do their dirty work for them, but I'm also afraid of ladders and heights in general so... back to the sexy. JJ illustrated with other examples of ending up nude in, on, or around a hot tub on various occasions. I told him that I would refrain from the innuendo and joke overload I was experiencing. Which I did, for like five minutes.
Once again Stacy was helping out softline pricing with Florence and they discussed jogging together. I told them they needed to become sexy bitches immediately and I would turn for them. But then Stacy got called to the front of the store and later to help out some guy who was puking everywhere.
Speaking of, there was a guy... puking everywhere... in the wood isle. He was super feeble so Stacy and I carried him to the bathroom. Christian had to go mop up the section, but didn't isolate the issue once in the trash cuz the puke got all over a dumpster and dripping down the compactor, which I ended up mopping up. Sigh. Ikcy.
There were trailers and rumour of trailers. Some guy called ahead warning of a big load (tee hee) and then it only took three guys to do so I was a little disappointed.
But I did get some fun pictures on my second break so it wasn't all for naught. The majority of them are coming in my People&Places post, but in the mean time here is the "table" where I generally spend my time dispensing of donation stuff to either the trash, pricing table, or cages.

See "JJ", with "donation" in hand, putting into "cage".
Ah, terminology.
Then he informed me that I was blocking Christian from putting in the dumpster.
So I of course turned around, pinned Christian up against the cage behind him and photo opped him. He didn't really seem to mind as you can see.

After work I DVRed my shows and did homework right away so I could go out to Pegasus with Nate, where we had a signature heart to heart. And a signature way past our bedtime.

In Plants lab monday morning Nate and I somehow stayed awake I think. Or I did mostly. Peter was all tuckered out though and head in hands asleep. I slowly turned the lightbult in box tool thing towards him as if to turn it's spotlightness on him... Didn't do it, but the anticipation made Nate and I break out in stifled uproarious laughter, as per usual when sleepless in this class. The other three on our table joined in on the experiment, something about shit in test tubes, and slug was spotted. Not only did we discover how light effects plants, but we created LIFE ITSELF. We were impressed. View, life itself:

with pencil, sadly not Jeanette, for size.
Then I cracked the case on how some of the slides/samples set out for the lab were incorrect. Ron said the leaf samples must have gotten jumbled and lamenated imporperly. I only knew what was going on in that class for five minutes and I already blew the system wide open. BwaHA.

Here's Ron's photo from the teacher wall in the hall by the way

They typography crit went well, Lisa seemed impressed by my quantum physics/ letter q deisgn, but I'm not sure I can pull it off in Photoshop...

Got my third project back and got an A, the only post I made during this week was about that so you already know. Showed it to Pam excitedly as we bussed away.

Apparently this woman Monica who's been working at Goodwill for a while is now a night shift person instead of a day one. At least this past week, so I met her. New guy Nate also started, and he is a friend of Kip, Kyle, and Andy so I fear for his productivity. I swear, we need to stop hiring their friends NOW. A new gal named Jenny also started; she is acquainted a bit with Josh. Isn't that special? She seemed nice tho.

It was nice to wake up to a Tuesday at not 4am and not have to write a paper then do poorly on a test. First Tuesday in all of November not like that. Sat at table doing CG magazine layout. Chris and Katie were both afoot. But I was pretty wrapped up in what I was doing.

In advertising we learned about separate jobs at an Ad Agency. All I could think of was Darren from Bewitched though. Joette was discussing how copy writers write those paragraphs next to articles that most people don't read. Generaly those kinds of ads are in grown up magazines. She was discussing their style with lots of periods and starting sentences with conjunctions. And I realized that I've been writing like that in LJ for months. lol.

Also got my Advertising and the end of the world paper back and it was red inked up with compliments and such. I practically shit my pants because the grade sheet said it was "one hell of a paper" and it was "hilarious". I'll take that info and run. :D

Talked to Jordan after class and she is gonna switch majors to Advertising.
In Design Survey she called me to tell me to come sit by her and we looked at each other across the lecture hall but I really don't like shifting my cycloptic field of vision to the right when sitting on the left side of that room. Come sit by ME. No, some sit by ME. lol. etc.

Steph was of course in Plants lecture afterwards, but they've been tuckering each other out a bunch lately so she fell asleep. And played with Peter's hand while doing so. Awwwwzzzz:

Nate came to burrito with me and we ran into Claudio, so there's one bit of crossover.
I ran up to print lab to print things out and was greated by Erik and Kristen doing the same. She was having printing woes, but my stuff came out pretty ok, though I had no graphics inserted at the time. We are all so not on top of this project.

I made it to Tuesday night, but work awaits so ta for now.
