Being productive in the morning is always fun, which is why I was on Monday morning. That and the fact that I had to get my shit coloured in for Typography class. Obviously I scribble scribbled to MMHMM. Of course, what morning doesn't start with MMHMM?
I did my Typography reading on the bus; the book is called Stop Stealing Sheep and it rocks. Any book that has a quote from Tallulah Bankhead starting off a chapter is easily one of the best books ever. I'm sorry, evar. I was actually able to be productive at the table too. IE: more scribble scribble. Ben was going on about a helmet he ordered and his big U2 concert plans. Peter appeared and we read over Plants notes before awaying to class.
Once again a lack of sleep thwarted me and Nate from being unobnoxious and intelligent seeming in Plants Lab. During the talky part we were just struggling to stay awake. Luckily the notes were glanced at beforehand so it didn't matter that I half failed. Moving on to the Greenhouse tour there was requisite laughing at the Growth Chamber. Nate giggled because of it's name whereas I just stifled laughter for minutes because it was a glaringly bright white room with a giant metal door and it seemed so absurd and *hand covers eyes*... you have to be me perhaps to understand. Then we walked into the room with the soils and prep stuff. Teacher: "And this is the Head Room--" Adrian: "snnkkchchgrr." I turned wipped my head to the side to stifle myself but it really didn't work. I had to grab the bridge of my nose and just kind of... heave. LMAO. It was just so juvenile that I had to laugh. Then of course Nate and I had to get all up in the business of the plant that, upon contact, contracted its leaves to safeguard itself. *poke poke* *titter titter*. Though I did try to make up for it by asking the teacher Ron a serious question at the end of class.
I talked to Nate at the bus stop for a bit before Adam came and swept me away in a torrent of old man yellow shirt. A quick harass of Ben, obtaining of Dance Party, and we were off to Spaights Plaza to see the abortion rally. I've had better.
Typograhpy was the critique that never ended. I think time might have actually come to a stop (Sailor Pluto showed concern, but ultimately it helped with nothing). I was supposed to finish my reading before class, but that got interrupted by putting Dance Party Like it's 2004 on my laptop and Brandon talking about his La Crosse weekend tournament knee hurting thing. Everyone had to put up their 4 8x8 drawings and prelim work on the wall. Then we talked about all four for everyone. "We're not leaving till we're done." Energy was good for the first 10 or so, but the last 7 really hurt. We had just said everything by then. But then, I guess it's good to here some basic principles multiple times. On the plus side I got in my comments, on the sad side Lisa had to ask me to speak more clearly or more loudly half the time. Oh well. E. Nunn. Ci. Ate. I could go on, but I honestly don't feel like regurgitating art shit seeing how I need to start working on it again in less than an hour. There was some fun quippage and insulting with Brandon, so as long as I have someone to do that with i'm happy overall...
Becca, Pam, Peter, Adam, Jeremy, and his man were awaiting at the Table. I brought up Adam and mine's idea to conspire with his me-funds to get the largest pizza in WI from Pizza Shuttle and make it a group activity. (though sadly it will have to be not tomorrow, but we'll find the ways and means). Becca and Adam were husked over time and it was just Pam, Peter, and I. Peter needed to go make copies so we were off to Golda. Downstairs at the copiers Pam tried explaining the 'each school is different' library of congress cataloguing for college libraries. I was distressed. Luckily, riding in the book return carts like they were mine carts helped with that. Pam had to go the lou, and when she came back she found me hiding under the stairs watching her. We realized the whole section under the stairs would be good for bums, or, if you're me, rolling around doing ninja evasioin tactics. I'm not sure what made me do it, but it was fun. We went up the the fourth floor to visit the rare books and I found out they have thousands of comics you can just rent and read. Hot hot hot indeed. Discussion of how horror moviie the elevator was led us to Peter leading us to the skinny, quick, scary elevator. Though it was all talk.
I tried to preach the gospel of Spin Spin Sugar and Hardcore Mutha Fucka to Pam but she was more interested in not being that interested. lol. Peter got some Burger King and I scrounged up for communal candy. Though, i accidentally ate Peter's portion. And unaccidentally ate several fries and a bite of whopper. Whoops. In all the literary fun I missed the 4:40 and was waiting for the 5:30. Still got home at a decent time though. Did that big saturday post, watched the 7th Heaven premiere and criticized it with my mom. Just like old times. There was a sexy episode of prison break, and then... I talked to Allie, Pam a bit and Nate... but I could have sworn there was homework of some kinda.. oh well, we don't actually care now do we? Oh look, the Charmed season finale is replaying on TNT, that ought to delay homework and LJ for today for a good half hour...
This entry started at 7:50 but then got delayed by food, Gilmore Girls, SVU, and Adam phone call. Clearly it's three hours later.
