So yesterday I went to the Burger King (yeah, I know, I know, but it wasn't my first choice either. I was desperate) near me to see if they actually had applications this time. They did, but they were 1 sided photo copies of the original, but when I told the manager-guy that he didn't seem to mind, and just started talking to me and told me to come back today with a photocopy of my social security number and permit. Then I spoke to another manager in a sort of quasi-interview (he asked me if I liked to cook, and I was like "WHAT?" Turns out, the people rotate cooking, cleaning and cashiering. Mom says that I'll probably only have to heat things up though, which is a relief) and then had to fill out a couple of forms, including a tax one. Then the 3rd manager whom I gave it to said she'll call me Thursday. So I don't know if that means I have the job or not, it seemed so, but Dad said maybe not. Then, when I came home, we got a message from Macy's, where my mom left my name and number in this box as an application, about an interview. I was hesitant at first, since Burger King seemed so close, and I didn't want to screw myself by going somewhere else and then not getting both jobs, but Mom said I should at least do it for practice. And I really would prefer working there anyway over Burger King. So I'm going to their office Monday for an interview. At least it's something. Only took 12 applications.
