Hancock

I figured I would seperate my 4th of July post and my movie review post. We went and saw Hancock with Will Smith in it.

I really love Will Smith. He is a great actor and his movies are always good........except this one. Don't get me wrong the movie was good, I liked it. But I wasn't really impressed with it. Hancock (Smith) is a super hero who isn't very good at being a super hero. There is a deep thing there and they didn't really go into it very well. They hinted at it but other than that...nothing. But maybe his issue was not knowing who he was, after 80 years and not aging can have that effect on a person, I would think. And after 80 years all of that weight could really drag a person down.
Anyways, my other beef with this movie is that they kinda rushed the explination of Hancock and Mary (was that her name?). They could've done that better I think. But then that could lead up to a sequal (doubtful though). I don't know, it was a good movie and I liked it. But I don't think I'm going to buy it when it comes out.
The action was good, had comedy here and there, special effects was good, graphs as well. Plus it had Will Smith in it! I'm just not sure why this movie didn't grab me.

My review: 7 out of 10
