Episode 24 Story Guide, Comments

Aug 13, 2009 23:49

I only found out about this a while ago, apparently there are official episode guides that are currently being released in the Gundam website. Sorry if the whole thing is littered with my comments, I just had to react at some of them.

There was a bit of talk in 2ch for the episode 24 guide which was just released, so I decided to take a look at it myself because this episode was plothole-riddled. I just read on until I found some stuff that caught my eye, and they were:

Story:

"Tieria recaptures Veda, and starts up Seraphim Gundam"

The GN Particles that 00-Raiser released cut off Ribbon's link to Veda. Tieria, who was expected to have died through Ribbons' shooting, quickly reacted [This was WUT-inducing, but read on to the end of my post...]. He started up Seraphim Gundam using QBW, and put into operation the "Trial System" loaded into the machine. Veda was recapured from Ribbons, and at the same time all machines linked to Veda were driven to a halt.

"Setsuna Arrives in Veda"

...Setsuna was shocked to see Tieria's dead body. But immediately following that, a voice echoed in his brain. ... [They specifically used "brain". I remembered reading somewhere that the true Innovator has the highest level of QBW, but I didn't know he used it at this point.]

Check Point section:

"Regene's Revival/Come Back"

Because of the large amount of GN Particles released by the "Trans-am Burst Mode", Regene, who was shot by Ribbons and was expected to be dead, also had his awareness revived [The statement mirrors the WUT I gave above, so I guess the verdict is that they really died, then lived through 00-Raiser hax. Agree?]. Regene communicates through QBW to Revive and Hiling, and explained that Setsuna, who invoked the "Trans-am Burst Mode", is for sure, the true Innovator who would rescue mankind from the crisis of destruction. In addition, Regene through QBW, communicates with Tieria who is an Innovado with his same form, and entrusts to him the future of Setsuna and his companions. [He gives them tiny messages, a load of Veda info, and sleeps, thank you]

Mechanic and Character:

[A reiteration: ]
Veda:
... Ribbons has seized Veda, but through 00-Raiser's Trans-am Burst Mode use, was recaptured by Tieria.

[...The explanation about Regene giving Tieria the key, and the RAM/HDD thing, is now... swept under the rug? I actually think that this narrative is much easier to understand, but it does make the 00-Raiser look a bit too amazing. But, if they are to insist that Regene did not get into Veda, then this makes a bit of sense, because it was Tieria who recaptured Veda, not Regene.

EDIT: From the discussion below, I think that the RAM/HDD thing makes a bit of sense in the idea that RAM=physical body, HDD=Veda upload. When an Innovade dies,  a part of their data is stored inside their own bodies, which will eventually be "flushed". Now, Regene and Tieria just died, so their data was still present in their bodies. The dead Innovades who exploded were good as dead because there is no vessel to keep their memories in.

Funny though, the Burst Mode seems to have selectively disconnected Ribbons, and connected Tieria. Probably Setsunator's working?

EDIT EDIT: Do you remember which other Innovade had an intact, dead body aside from the purple twins? I wonder...
