Should old aquaintance be forgot... or not so much

So it's been pretty cool the last few days. Tuesday night, I watched Dear Frankie with Katie. It was cool to hang out with her again. It was pretty much an awesome time. Wednesday night, I went to mishawaka with Howie to see Erika and Megan. That was awesome. We even went to Barnes and Noble. Yessssss. And last night, I was in Grand Rapids (still am) and I saw Amy with Nick after Nick had dinner with my dad, sister, her boyfriend, and me. We went out for coffee and it really was great. I had gotten all worried that after so long and missing so much that it'd be weird to hang out with my friends again, but, you know what? It's not. It was really, really good. After a few minutes, it didn't feel like I had left at all. Of course, they would talk about things that I had totally missed and I would wish that I had been at Albion last semester, but it felt really good that I have such wonderful friends that I can connect to and I know that we're going to have a sweet time next semester. It was, of course, fabulous to see Nick. I'm so lucky to have him. We exchanged our Christmas presents last night. I was pretty awesome and got him a nice hookah while I was in London from a store called Al Mustafa in a part of town where every sign was also in Arabic. Yeah, so it's straight from Egypt. And he has some cool British pub coasters and we have matching beer mugs from the beer garden we went to in Munich. His present to me was amazing and wonderful. He got me pearl earrings, yeah, he knows I love Kappa Delta. And the most amazing part was the frame. He had it costum made with something he told me once and it made me cry, of course. Becaue I cry... a lot. But whatever.

So it's nearly Christmas and it's weird. I don't feel like it should be here on Sunday. I mean, I feel like it's Christmas time, but it's like I started feeling that when I got back to the States. So it only feels like it's been Christmas time for a week and it feels a bit rushed. Oh well, it's still lovely to be home except when my mom starts bugging me about cleaning or the Christmas movies I lost. OH! And I'm really excited about next week. Nick and I are taking a little vacation up to Traverse City from the 27th to the 30th and we'll go skiing. YAY! I'm so excited to have some time for just the two of us. Then I'll be in Grand Rapids that weekend and go to Amy's soiree! Which will be sweet ass. So good times, people, good times.
