So it's almost 8 pm and I'm in the office right now. This is officially the longest I've ever had to stay past hours at work. Funny thing is I wasn't even at the office during the normal part of the day. I've been in on business the past two days for some certification/training. However, one of my programs at work is going through a yearly performance test and, well, it isn't going well. Hence I had to bust ass back to town once I past my certification so that I could relieve my coworker who was covering this form me so she could go home. Now I'm sitting here bored off my ass watching data stream on my computer until this test is over. So I figured I'd make an LJ post.
Life in general is good. Things with Pauline and I are still great despite the insane amount of time we've been across the ocean from each other. She has her appointment at the US embassy to apply for her visa next tuesday. If her visa goes through, she'll be here Dec 27th. If it gets denied....well we're back to the drawing board. There's no reason it should be denied though.
Work is good for the most part. My work load has somewhat lightened lately. It's gonna pick up full tilt come January though.
As I mentioned before, I'm now licensed to officiate high school wrestling. I've been contracted on to officiate my old high school's home matches, and I'm looking to maybe do some junior high weekend tournaments. The money for doing this is actually pretty decent, but I'm just doing it more for the love of being near the sport. Still need to find a place to get an official's uniform (striped shirt, black pants, etc.)
I bought a cheap used truck about a month back so I don't have to drive the Solstice everywhere. It's not the most awesome truck in the world but I'm happy with the purchase, and now I have a vehicle with some carrying capacity.
Let's see, what else is new... not a whole lot I guess. The last test run has just completed so I can finally go home now. I'm in desperate need of food. I'm out.
