Hey there f-listers!
As most of you have a common friend with me on LJ, you have no doubt received a fake e-mail from someone trying to spoof someone in our circle of friends. Specifically they are claiming to be that person on vacation in Wales, UK and had gotten mugged and are asking for money to be sent to them via Western Union.
Now being the jackass I am, I've been spending the day e-mailing them and telling them that I've been trying to send them money and asking ridiculous questions. At some point I'll have to post the conversation because these guys are idiots.
However the one thing I did do was to contact Western Union who informed me that they have a division that deal with Internet fraud. So if you did get any of these e-mails you can forward them on to spoof@westernunion.com.
Probably won't catch the fuckers that did this but hopefully it stop someone the next time they try this shit.
