oh what a day... my brother and i had an emotional drive to south wales from london involving a long overdue talk about our parents, our lives, our relationships, ourselves... followed by more emotions when we took andy's dogs for a walk and one was hit by a bicycle, breaking his leg badly. the poor baby, and my poor brother, he is absolutely heartbroken. the dog will have very expensive surgery tomorrow that my brother nor i can afford, but hopefully he will be okay.
people here have this way of saying "Are you okay?" at the weirdest moments and with such sincerity that it takes you by suprise and makes you want to hug them instantly.
also, an old, crazy english man on the street yelling "Humbug!" at strangers may be the best moment of my life thus far.
and, to miss susan quesal: i was making a mustache on he subway while looking out the window and a man came up to me and told me i had a lovely mustache and asked if he could take my picture... it was amazing. i wish you had been there.
