A perfect example of how deaf/hilarious my dad is...
So my parents and I went to go see Walk the Line. This is a very close recollection of the conversation we have as we're leaving the theater.
My mom: That was Waylan Jennings' son who played him.
Me: Oh yeah?
My dad: Was that Waylan Jennings' son playing Waylan?
Me: Yeah, mom just said that.
My dad: Oh.
My mom: I know this is weird, but Reese Witherspoon reminded me so much of Jamie in that movie, she looks just like her.
Me: Yeah, I thought so too. It's the high forehead.
My dad: You know who that lady in the movie reminds me of?
Me: Who?
My dad: Jamie!
(my mom and I laugh)
My dad: Oh you don't think so?
Me: No dad, we do, mom just said that.
My dad: Oh.
My mom: My dad just loved Johnny Cash.
Me: Yeah.
My dad: I remember, my dad really loved Johnny Cash.
